Time flies, and our Association is 3 years old now ! Very soon, by the 12th of May, a new 2nd term Committee will be elected into existence.

This is a joyful occasion for our members as all of us are actively preparing for the 3rd Anniversary Celebration cum the Sworn In Ceremony of the 2nd Term Committee. We also eagerly look forward to your attendance, so that we can celebrate together and have a wonderful time in getting to know each other as well as promoting our clans' friendship.

Invitation to Attend Our 3rd Anniversary cum 2nd Installation Banquet

3. MAY is the festive month for Sabah as our native countrymen, the Kadazan people, are celebrating their Harvest Festival. This is the best time to come to Sabah for travelling and it is our pleasure to arrange for you any excursion tours that you like.

Information For Out Station Guests

1. Transportation
We are providing airport transfer as well as banquet's venue transfer.
If you have other transportation needs, please let us know, we will help you to make the arrangement.

2. Accommodation
Please take note that, as 24th May to 9th June is the peak travel season in Sabah, most hotel rooms will be snapped up by a multitude of travel agencies one month in advance. It is advisable to book one's accommodation as early as possible.

We have negotiated with Citidel Express, a 3-stars hotel at the heart of Kota Kinabalu City to get a most favorable pricing as follow:

4. Chartered Bus to Sandakan
Our members are chartering a coach bus to travel to Sandakan for the Sandakan Ye Clan Association Inauguration Banquet on 25th May and will be back to Kota Kinabalu on 26th May. One way trip takes about 7 hours and it will cost each member RM50. A round trip will cost RM100 per person. Anyone who is interested to share the bus with us is most welcome, please let us know as early as possible.

沙巴西海岸叶氏宗亲会第二届理事会改选, 即日起接受提名 

沙巴西海岸叶氏宗亲会订于2013年5月12日(星期日)上午十时,假Hilltop海中海海鲜餐厅召开第一届第二次(2013年)常年会员大会,举办第二届理事会改选暨颁发2012年度会员子女菁英奖。 

理事会已于四月三日所举行之第15次会议中推选及核准成立由副主席叶庆安为首之五人选举小组,其他组员为叶茂成,叶丽明,叶用守及叶伟勤。 

此选举小组将在理事会解散后,依章程及选举细则开始执行任务,直到新届理事会成立后自动解散。 

选举主任叶庆安宣布即日起接受提名,他促请有意竞选第二届理事会职位者,尽快向秘书处索取选举细则及提名表格。提名截止日期为2013年4月30日。 

秘书长叶丽明呼吁会员踊跃出席是次会员大会,共商会务事宜,并于大会过后一起享用午餐,互相交流。 

她促请会员注意以下事项:

Notice of the Annual General Meeting (2013), Election for the 2nd Term Committee Cum the Presentation of the Elite Awards for Members’ Children (2012) 

Notice is hereby given that the Association will hold the 2nd Annual General Meeting ( 2013), Election for the 2nd Term Committee Cum the Presentation of the Elite Awards for Members’ Children (2012) on 12th May, 2013 (Sunday) at 10a.m. at Deepsea Seafood Restaurant, Hilltop. 

Please take note of the following: 

(1) All proposals from Members need to be submitted to the Secretary in written form by 30th April 2013 in order to be adopted into the Agenda. 

(2) The Rules for Election and the Nomination Forms for the 2nd Term Committee can be obtained from the Secretariat. The closing date for the nomination is 30th April 2013. 

(3) The Details for the Elite Awards for Members’ Children and the Application forms can be obtained from the Secretariat. The closing date for the application is 30th April 2013. 

(4) For those Ordinary / Affiliated Members who haven’t paid the Year 2013 Subscription Fee, they can pay to the Treasurer on the day of the Annual General Meeting, in order to continually enjoy the members’ privilege.

2012年度会员子女菁英奖细节 

凡是本会合格会员子女就读于各源流小学及中学,其2012年度学年总成绩或会考成绩最少得3A3B者,即可申请学业表现优良奖。 

凡是本会合格会员子女就读于各源流小学及中学,其2012年度课外表现优良者(如获得各项受到公认的赛会之冠、亚、季军,或获得各项受到公认的团体所颁发之最高荣誉者等),即可申请课外活动表现优良奖

每一位符合资格之报名者将获赠一枚菁英奖牌及红包。而从每一年级(如一年级、二年级直到高中三)之报名者中,将会选出一位表现最优秀者,获赠该年级之菁英杯。 

申请者可向秘书处索取申请表格。申请者须于2013年4月30日之前把申请表格及证明文件(如学年成绩表、会考文凭、最高荣誉奖状之影印本或照片)呈交秘书处。(秘书处电话:0111-0500290;013-8663000;019-8803730。一切资料及报名表格也可从网站:www.YeClan.com 下载。)

注:

RULES FOR ELITE AWARDS FOR MEMBERS’ CHILDREN (2012) 

Members’ children who are studying in either Primary or Secondary Schools and have attained at least 3A3B in their School Year Aggregate Results or in any Public Examinations for year 2012, are eligible to apply for the Excellence Study Performance Awards

Members’ children who are studying in either Primary or Secondary Schools and have won the 1st, 2nd or 3rd places in any recognized competitions or were presented with the highest awards by any recognized organizations for year 2012, are eligible to apply for the Excellence Extra Curriculum Performance Awards

Every qualified applicant will be presented with an ELITE MEDAL and Angpao. And a Best Student will be selected among his or her peers in the same lever (i.e Primary 1, Primary 2 till Form 6) to be awarded with an ELITE CUP for that particular lever. 

Applicants can obtain the Rules for Elite Awards and the Application Forms from the Secretariat. The Application Forms together with the supporting documents (Photocopied School Report Cards, Public Examination Certificates, Awards Certificates or Photos etc) need to be submitted to the Secretariat by 30th April,2013. Note: 
The Application Forms from those Ordinary Members who haven’t paid their 2013 Annual Subscription Fee won’t be entertained.

第二届理事会选举细则
 RULES OF ELECTION FOR THE 2nd TERM COMMITTEE 


 1. 
理事会于3/4/2013第15次会议中推选及核准成立五人选举小组。 
主任:叶庆安 
成员:叶丽明,叶茂成,叶用守,叶伟勤 

An Election Sub-committee comprising of 5 members was formed during the 15th Committee Meeting held on 3/4/2013. 

Sub-committee Chairman: Yap Kin On 
Sub-committee Members: Yapp Lee Ming, Yap Meu Sin, Yap Kon Siu, Yap Wai Chyn. 

2. 

选举小组由理事会解散后,依章程及选举细则开始执行任务,直到新届理事会成立后自动解散。 

The Election Sub-committee shall carry out its duties, once the present committee is dissolved, in accordance with the Rules and Regulation of the Association. It shall be automatically dissolved once the New Committee is formed. 


3. 

法定之21位理事,将于会员大会时由简单大多数票选举出来。 

The mandatory 21 Committee Members shall be elected by a simple majority vote in the coming Annual General Meeting. 


 4. 

选举小组须于会员大会后两星期之内举行复选,选举出: 

The Election Sub-committee shall then hold a re-election meeting within 2 (two) weeks from the date of the Annual General Meeting in-order to elect:


 一位主席    A Chairman 

一位署理主席    A Deputy Chairman 
六位副主席    6 Vice Chairmen 
一位秘书长    A Secretary 
一位副秘书长    An Assistant Secretary 
一位财政    A Treasurer 
一位副财政    An Assistant Treasurer
 一位工商组主任    A Director of Commerce and Industry 
一位旅游科技组主任    A Director of Tourism and Technology 
一位福利组主任    A Director of Social and Welfare 
一位文教组主任    A Director of Culture and Education 
五位理事    5 Committee Members 

5. 
复选需有至少2/3之入选理事出席,方可进行。 

The presence of a two-third (2/3) of the newly elected Committee Members is mandatory for the Re-election Meeting. 

6. 
只有在上一届理事会担任了一届理事的永久会员,方具资格竞选主席。 

Only a Life Member who has served one full term as a Committee Member in the preceding term is eligible to be elected as the Chairman. 

7. 
理事提名表格须于2013年4月30日之前呈交给选举小组。受提名人,提议人及附议人都必须是永久会员,而且须在提名表格上亲笔签名。 

Nomination forms for election shall be submitted to the Election Sub-committee before 30th April, 2013. The Nominee, the Proposer and the Seconder must all be Life Members themselves and must sign the Nomination Form with their own hands. 

8. 
选举若有争执,选举小组将依章做最终之决定。 

In the event of any dispute, the Election Sub-committee shall make the final decision in accordance with the Rules and Constitution of the Association. 

9. 
选举小组全权负责一切选举事务,包括若有需要,执行及控制现场保安次序,以让选举依章顺利举行完成。 

The Election Sub-committee is fully responsible for the success of the Election, which shall be conducted in accordance with the Rules and Constitution of the Association and whenever the situation calls for it, to enforce security measures around the venue.

此选举细则经理事会3/4/2013第15次会议一致通过。 

The above Rules of Election was discussed and unanimously approved by all those present during the 15th Committee Meeting held on 3/4/2013.
